I’m Téa Babic, a registered dietitian (RD) with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
While I enjoy working across different areas of dietetics and with clients of all ages, I have a particular passion for treating eating disorders, disordered eating, selective eating, and pediatric feeding challenges. Working with children and families in this area has been incredibly rewarding, offering opportunities to make a positive impact on their lives. At Anchor Psychological Services, I help empower families and caregivers to support their loved ones through recovery by providing creative recommendations for weight restoration, dismantling nutrition misinformation and harmful diet culture beliefs, and supporting the interruption of disordered eating behaviours.
I also work directly with individuals to help rebuild healthier relationships with food, tackling diet culture, and embracing health at every size (HAES). I have a special interest in working with pregnant and post-natal clients to ensure they are meeting their nutritional requirements using a non-diet framework. I bring this same evidence-based, inclusive, HAES approach to treating clients with special dietary needs due to health conditions.
I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition in 2021 and went on to complete my Master’s in Applied Nutrition in 2022. Over the course of my education and training, I’ve gained experience providing nutritional treatment for adults with stroke, cancer, kidney disease, and various forms of acute and critical illness. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and understanding, providing neuro- and identity-affirming care. I approach my work with curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning. I strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment where clients feel heard and valued. I offer virtual nutrition counseling across Ontario, and I’m excited to help you on your journey toward better health and well-being.
