Dr. Rachel Driscoll, Psychologist

she/her

I have been a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario since 2020. I provide psychodiagnostic assessment and therapy to children, youth, parents, and families struggling with a wide range of difficulties. I have an interest in anxiety, depression, body image and eating disorders, and challenges related to self and identity, particularly those encountered by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their families. I also have experience working with neurodiverse youth and their families. My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative. I employ evidence-based approaches (e.g., ACT, CBT, DBT, EFFT) and work creatively with each individual/family to provide treatment that fits their unique needs and experiences. I believe wholeheartedly in the transformative power of emotions and connection to make meaningful change. Using my values of authenticity, humour, and connection, and the strengths inherent in individuals and families, I believe in creating a strong therapist-client relationship and working to find a way forward together.

I earned my PhD in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Guelph and completed my predoctoral residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Throughout my training, I worked in a variety of settings including the Hospital for Sick Children’s (SickKids) Eating Disorder Day Treatment Program, community-based clinics, and schools while providing care to children, adolescents, and families.
