Professional Training Excellence
Advancing Emotion-Focused Therapy for Families
With two certified EFFT/EFT-F supervisors and trainers (Drs. Shari Mayman & Katherine Henderson) our goal is to foster emotional well-being, strengthen family relationships, and support the professional development of therapists through the advancement of Emotion-Focused Therapy for Families (EFT-F)/Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFTT). EFT-F/EFFT is an emotion-focused therapeutic approach that empowers caregivers with skills to increase empathic attunement, support emotional processing, and facilitate behaviour change in their loved ones.
Eating Disorder Practice Essentials: A Resource Compendium For Clinicians
If you are a mental health professional treating youth with eating disorders and their families, this collection of resources will assist you in developing confidence and competence and delivering the specialized care your clients need. Compiled by Drs. Shari Mayman and Katherine Henderson, psychologists with decades of experience in treating clients and training professionals in evidence-based care for eating disorders, this book is organized to provide easy access to useful materials to support your work. Within this compendium you will find letter templates to coordinate care with other professionals, handouts for caregivers to provide education and direction, assessment tools, and therapeutic exercises and worksheets.
