Amanda Krause, M.A., Doctoral Candidate

I am completing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and will be beginning supervised practice upon graduation this Fall 2026. My clinical work is primarily supervised by Dr. Katherine Henderson.

I provide therapy services to children, youth, families, and adults. I have an interest in working with individuals with a range of challenges including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive challenges, depression, complex trauma, relational difficulties, and emotional and behavioural dysregulation. My approach to therapy is individualized and considers the unique and specific characteristics of each individual and family I work with. This means that I draw upon a variety of evidence-based theories and strategies to meet client needs, and includes aspects of attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and dialectical behavioural (DBT). I am committed to building a strong rapport with those I work with, and to promote a feeling of safety and security so we can collaboratively work.

I also provide comprehensive assessment services for children, youth, and adults. I have experience in assessing for neurodevelopmental concerns such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning disabilities, as well as trauma, and other mental health difficulties. In all my assessments, I strive to offer clarity and recommendations for success and wellbeing in the future that leverage an individual’s strengths.
