Dr. Sarah Jane Norwood, Psychologist

she/her

I have been a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario since 2015. I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology from York University in Toronto and completed my pre-doctoral residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

I am dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families. I offer personalized individual and family therapy for a wide range of challenges, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, focusing on building clients’ strengths to foster positive change. I welcome and celebrate all identities in my practice, creating a safe and supportive space for all.  I am passionate about creating strong therapeutic relationships that empower individuals and families to achieve their goals.

Alongside therapy, I offer comprehensive developmental and psycho-educational assessment for children, adolescents, and those transitioning into adulthood to evaluate learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and giftedness. These assessments adopt a strengths-based, neurodivergent-affirming approach to support your child’s success at school, home, and in the community.

Beyond my passion for clinical work, I also enjoy offering personalized consultations to other professionals working with neurodivergent youth and those transitioning into adulthood.
