I have been a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts since 2005, offering psychological services to children, youth, and adults. I provide therapy to those struggling with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), problems with emotional regulation, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem. I use evidence-based approaches and have particularly extensive experience in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also incorporate some additional treatment modalities, including trauma-informed stabilization treatment (TIST) and brainspotting.
In my work with clients, I place an emphasis on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and tapping into clients’ strengths to increase resilience and facilitate positive change. I believe in meeting clients where they are at and creating a safe space where your identity will be seen, supported and celebrated.
I obtained my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2004. I worked as a staff psychologist in the mood and anxiety service of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) for 12 years, before coming to Anchor Psychological Services in 2016.
